With hopefully the last snow storm on its way into Chicago (fingers crossed), I thought it only made sense to write a blog post on my favorite snow boots. February is actually a great time of year to buy snow boots, as most stores have marked down their winter gear. So whether you are purchasing your snow boots for the remaining winter blizzards or for next winter, these are my 3 favorite pairs
These are by far my favorite rain/snow boots I have ever owned. My mother purchased them from Nordstrom and gifted them to me for Christmas. They are now only $74.97 at Nordstrom Rack! Unfortunately, there are not too many sizes left online, I would check in the store as well. Hopefully Sam Edelman will bring them back for next year as well. Although these are rain boots, I personally have worn them as snow boots all winter long. They are super lightweight and keep my feet warm. I find it difficult to wear Hunter rain boots as they are so heavy and the rain boots do not keep my feet warm in the winter. They are grounded by grippy trends, so they provide traction in both wet and dry conditions. Snow boots tend to not be that glamour, so when I found these with the tweet and metallic finish I knew I had to have them.
If you are looking to for warmth and to keep your feet dry (which is usually the case when purchasing snow boots), these are your go to. I have had these boots for two years now and pull them out for winter’s toughest storms. I believe I have the older version, these are more updated with leather, mine are all fabric. They are lined with genuine shearling, so they will definitely keep your feet nice and cozy. They too are waterproof and have a grippy bottom for both dry and wet conditions. UGGS typically do not go on sale, but it is definitely worth splurging for.
Sorel has been a leading brand in cold weather equipment since 1962. Their boots do not disappoint. The Sorel Tivoli are a waterproof suede material and easy to navigate in tough snow. The plush faux-fur adds a feminine touch to snow boots. The curry brown color is widely popular. The inside of the boots are lined with fleece, so like the UGGs they will keep your feet warm all winter long.
