Who doesn’t love a good sunkissed cheeky glow in the summer? When we think about creating a summer glow, our minds often automatically go to highlighters. Last summer, highlighters completely stole the show. An underrated and important beauty product that can be used to create a beautiful glowy summer look – blush. Peach, coral, and soft pink shades are gorgeous for summer. The right amount of blush paired with a highlighter can give you a dewy fresh-off-the-beach glow. In this blog, I have listed my 5 favorite summer blushes right now. I have been REALLY getting into drugstore products this summer. I am planning on doing a whole blog post completely dedicated to affordable beauty products. I did a huge Best of Beauty 2016 Drugstore post in the beginning of the year, however, I have discovered so many more products that I can’t wait to share. For now, I have listed 3 of my favorite summer blushes that are under $10.00 along with my two favorite high-end blushes
The Too Faced Sweet Peach collection launched in mid-December of 2016 & it launched with a bang on social media. Beauty bloggers and lovers took to social media raving about this sweet new collection. The eyeshadow palette I think is perfect for all year round. The lipsticks, blush, & highlighters, however, are peachy luminous shades that are gorgeous for summer. The formula is super creamy, but yet still light weight. If you aren’t familiar with Too Faced products, they are scented to match the theme of the product. The Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush combined with my Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter, is my absolute favorite combination this summer.
As I mentioned I have been on a drugstore beauty kick this summer. I discovered this blush while watching Manny Mua’s video – The Top 10 Makeup Products At The Drugstore. I literally went to the drugstore & bought this blush immediately after watching the video. The color of this product reminds me a lot of the Papa Don’t Peach Too Faced blush. The picture below is a little hard to go off of, I honestly don’t think it looks anything like the picture. However, I honestly think that the formula of this product is creamier, richer, and more blendable that the Too Faced blush. Crazy huh? Don’t be fooled by the Wet n Wild Color Icon price of $2.99. Check this product out for yourself the next time you are at the drugstore.
I know I have mentioned this product before on my blog. In fact, I love it so much I gave it away last summer in my summer drugstore beauty giveaway. A year later and this is still one of my most used summer blushes. It gives the perfect sun-kissed glow with its orangey coral tone.
This is a perfect soft pink blush. It’s honestly great for all year round. I know I have talked about this blush before too on my blog – I just love it that much. A little goes a long way with this blush. Be sure to use a light hand when applying. It is SO SO pigmented, which is why I love it so much.
If you have any interest in makeup & beauty you probably either have or have heard of the iconic NARS blush in Orgasm. The Orgasm blush has been around forever & is a fan favorite – & for good reason. The color is seriously the perfect blush shade for pretty much every skin tone. The formula is super creamy and pigmented. The price is expensive (like the Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach), however, it will last you a very long time. All you need is a few light strokes of the NARS Orgasm blush and you are ready to go. I love it for summer because it does have a shimmer to it that gives a light natural glow.
